James Landino

James Landino is an internationally recognized video game/anime composer and DJ based out of Los Angeles, California. His influence of electronic music bridges the gap of gaming, anime, and nightclub culture together, amassing millions of plays across multiple platforms.

He is best known for his work on the musically acclaimed video game NO STRAIGHT ROADS, along with other projects including TOWER OF GOD, ROBLOX, CHUNITHM, OSU!, RWBY, CYTUS II, AMPLITUDE HD, PUBG MOBILE and DROPMIX.

Once an audio developer for HARMONIX MUSIC SYSTEMS, James now works full time as an independent talent working with the entertainment industry’s best professionals. His notable clients include: SEGA, SQUARE ENIX, MONSTERCAT, SONY, CRUNCHYROLL, TENCENT, and ROOSTER TEETH.

James tours around the world at various events as a performer and speaker celebrating video games and anime, sharing the stage with renowned acts M-FLO, TEDDYLOID, and HYPER POTIONS, and releasing official remixes of internationally recognized artists such as KUMI KODA, FLOW and TOKYO MACHINE. Recently he founded RARE DROP, a music publishing and artist management company representing music composers in the video game industry.

Blending his talent and passion for electronic music with a strong sense of gamer nostalgia, VGR reimagines iconic themes and songs from his favorite anime and games as main-stage, EDM festival-style bangers. Having previously partnered with Cartoon Network for projects such as the official Steven Universe Future Remix compilation, VGR has released tracks on prestigious labels including Monstercat and produced music for video games such as the award-winning, cross-platform Rocket League under his original music alias Nokae.

With more than 240,000 subscribers on YouTube, 800,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and 200 million plays across all platforms, VGR has made it his mission to take anime and game music to the next level.

D-YAMA(MOGRA)

当時21歳にして秋葉原MOGRA店長の座に就き、現在に至るまでMOGRA独自のカルチャーを牽引してきた秋葉原の新世代キーパーソン。
クラブミュージックからアニメソング、ゲームミュージック、J-POPまで多ジャンルの音楽を分け隔てなくスムーズにミックスしていく。
2012年3月に発売となった自身の店の名を冠した「MOGRA MIX vol.1 mixed by DJ WILDPARTY」のリリースツアーとしてDJ WILDPARTYらと共に全国10カ所の大規模ツアーを敢行。その翌年2013年にも全国ツアーに参加。日本中にMOGRAの名前と自由なDJプレイの楽しさを広めた。
2013年11月には新木場ageHa全館を使用した大型フェス「あきねっと -秋葉原インターネット音楽祭-」を主催し2000人以上を動員した他、最近では「灼眼のシャナ」「ヨルムンガンド」などの主題歌を歌う川田まみのバックDJを務め、アニソンシンガーのクラブスタイルのライブを提唱。国内だけに止まらずバンコクや上海など海外でも活動、その評価は高い。
2014年5月に行われた”でんぱ組.inc”の「ワールドワイド☆でんぱツアー2014ファイナル」では日本武道館で1万人を相手に堂々とオープニングDJを務め、幅広い客層から大きな評価を受けたことも記憶に新しい。同年12月には、札幌を拠点に活動する音楽クリエイター集団""I've""によるリミックスアルバム&MIXCDにてDJMIXを手掛けた。
最近ではスマイルプリキュアに登場するキュアビューティに恋心を覚え、放送終了と共に塞ぎ込むこともあったが現在では青色の小物を所持することで精神を保つ事ができるまでになった。

HokBoy(H.K.WORKS)

2011年からDJ活動と共にオーガナイズ活動を始める。特に「ロリ」と「音楽」の様々なシーンを集結させた「合法ロリパーティー」は多くの反響を呼び、秋葉原MOGRAの最長待機列記録を保持していると噂されている。

DJとしてはサンプリングミュージックやブレイクビーツを好んで多用し、世界観やトリップ感を感じられるプレイを得意とする。秋葉原MOGRAを代表するマンスリーパーティー「ANISON MATRIX!!」のレギュラーDJを務め、節目の11年目からはオーガナイザーを兼任している。

また、国内屈指のブレイクコアレーベル「Otherman Records」の配信企画や、ランティス楽曲オンリーのアニソンDJ MIX配信番組「Lantis DJ Night powered by MOGRA」へのDJ MIX提供、TBSラジオ「アフター6ジャンクション」やblock.fmへのラジオ出演、雑誌GROOVEのムック「秋葉原DJガイド」へ掲載されるなど多岐に渡る活動を行っている。
トラックメイカー・DJの盟友droplampとの多次元エモーショナルユニット「H.K.WORKS」としてRemixワークのリリースやライブ出演なども行っている。

Alicemetix (Stardrop Records)

アリスメティックス。2016年から活動を開始。
キャッチーで泣いちゃうような楽曲(と騒がしい曲)を制作する傍ら、作品に触れたときの感情の浮き沈みでブートレグリミックスも制作する。また、聴感上の心地よさを追求したマッシュアップ制作も行っている。

DJにおいてはキャッチーな楽曲を軸にプレーするが、予定調和を嫌がる性格ゆえに、広いジャンルとBPMをまたがる予想の出来ない自由で激しいプレイングを行う。

2021年には Kijibato との合作で「Communication Magic feat. をとは」をリリースしたほか、コナミ「DANCERUSH STARDOM」にて楽曲「Bloody Bounce」を提供。

2022年には新しいスタイルのハウスコンピレーション・アルバムである「House*Catch On」の企画を行い、自身も「When U」を制作。

現在では、Future Bounceのみならず新たな気持ち良い音を求めて彷徨い、適度な遊び心を持ちつつ、制作を続けている。
